I used to eat this all the time! My usual order was 鸡丁,koleicai (cabbage) and 炸弹 (potato ball). I’ve had it since I was a kid. I remember the uncle will shout “来!”to hustle you to pick the next veggie. This shop was the pinnacle of caifan …

(Most of their) food prices are clearly listed. You’d have to ask for the usual suspects like fish. Queue time during peak lunch time can be slow, despite complaints of high prices & lacklustre dishes. I’d queue again only if I have the time; none of the dishes were memorable

Love their old school curry chicken and prawn fritter. Always got queue during peak hours. Prices abit on high side for hawker stall.

Quite pricy economic rice (7sgd for rice + 1 meat + 1 omelette + 2 veggies). I would say the dishes are below average economic rice. Very salty.

$7.50 for this plate. Tastes like my grandma’s cooking. I really like it. I’ve tried many caifan in various coffee shops, and like this the most. The moment I put the curry sauce with rice in my mouth, I could taste how fragrant the curry is :) the spinach was cooked nicely, not overly fibrous. The potato with luncheon meat tasted like home. The battered prawns were expensive ($2 each), but seeing that I can’t replicate what my grandma used to make, I’m happy to pay for this. A perpetual queue but service is very prompt and efficient :)

The queue during lunch time was long but the serving cleared quickly. Wide variety of options and generous portion of ingredients and rice. Worth it for the price!
