Went to Kinex for dinner and chanced upon Pasta Play at the basement food court. Saw quite a number of diners queuing so we decided to try it out. Their pasta were surprisingly very good and flavourful, considering selling at rather affordable prices. Shall come back to try other options.

You can dine in at this place, along with the rest of the stalls. They will give you a buzzer and you can collect your food. Price is decent but I didn’t really like the taste of their aglio olio. The linguine and poached egg was well cooked though.

Truffle cream sauce is very nice, not too creamy. The beef ribeye is tender too. We like their charred brussel sprouts, good for sharing. Would be nice if the staff can take note of request like "no parmesan cheese" as not everyone likes a heap spoonful of that in their pasta :)

Build-your-own bowl is by no means a novel concept, but Pasta Play’s customisable pastas are simply out of this world. Mix and match from a spectrum of four sauces, three types of pasta, four meats (or none at all) and ten toppings to curate a 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 that’s uniquely yours. We tried: ✅ Spaghetti, Tomato Sauce, Roasted Garlic Chicken ✅ Linguine, Basil Pesto, Smoked Duck ✅ Penne, Truffle Cream, Beef Ribeye The pastas were cooked al dente and the sauces complemented them superbly, with the refreshing basil pesto and luxurious truffle cream particularly praiseworthy. The proteins were immaculate as well. Among the four side dishes available, we tried the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀. Emitting a smokey scent and dressed in a scrumptious spicy mayo, this was superlative.
