The latest MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2026 update has been especially kind to the East. Three new entries landed at Tampines Round Market alone, and Kaki Bukit 511 Market scored two new listings. Here is your guide to the East's newest Michelin-recognised hawker heroes, with addresses, opening hours and what to order at each stall.
Kaki Bukit 511 Market & Food Centre
Seng Kee Black Chicken Herbal Soup (#01-31/32)
Newly included in the MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2026 selection, Seng Kee is beloved for its Black Chicken Herbal Soup, Kidney Mee Sua and Claypot Pig's Organ dishes. The stall occupies two corner units and is easy to spot with its large yellow signboard. Also try the Ginseng Black Chicken (SGD 12), Claypot Pig's Liver (SGD 13) and Pig's Trotter Vinegar (SGD 15). The stall is a particular late-night favourite because it opens from 12:30pm all the way to 11pm, which is rare for a herbal soup specialist.
- Address: 511 Bedok North Street 3, #01-31/32, Singapore 460511
- Hours: 12:30pm to 11pm (closed Wed)
Tian Nan Xing Minced Pork Noodle (#01-10)
Old-school soup-style Bak Chor Mee tracing back to Tan Lian Hock, an early street hawker from Chai Chee. The soup version is a dying art, fewer stalls serve it today, making Tian Nan Xing an essential stop for preservation as much as taste. A bowl typically runs SGD 4.50 to SGD 6, and the stall is one of the few places in Singapore where you can still get the soup-style BCM rather than the now-ubiquitous dry version.
- Address: 511 Bedok North Street 3, #01-10, Singapore 460511
- Hours: 5pm to 12am (closed Sun)
Tampines Round Market & Food Centre
Yi Pin Wei Braised Duck Kway Chap (#01-40)
One of three new Michelin entries at this circular hawker hub. The stall is recognised for its signature braised duck, pork trotter and chitterlings. The MICHELIN Guide inspectors seem to have a soft spot for kway chap in recent years, and Yi Pin Wei is one of the cleaner, more consistent operators in the east. A portion of kway chap with braised duck typically runs SGD 5 to SGD 7, with add-ons like pork trotter and chitterlings pushing the bill up to SGD 10.
- Address: 137 Tampines Street 11, Singapore 521137
- Hours: 6:30am to 3pm daily
Rajarani Thosai (#01-33)
Also newly listed at Tampines Round Market, a 25-year-old South Indian hawker stall that east-side residents have known about for years. The stall is so well-regarded that former President Halimah Yacob and Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli have both been spotted eating here. The signature order is the Crispy Cereal Thosai (SGD 3.50), served with three dippings, a coconut chutney, a masala chutney and a lentil dhal. The masala chutney carries a real kick, so if you have a low spice tolerance, lean on the dhal instead.
Other orders worth trying at Rajarani Thosai include the Coconut Appam (SGD 2), which has lacy crisp edges and a soft, bouncy centre, and the Masala Egg Onion Thosai (SGD 5), packed with potatoes, eggs and onion. The stall opens at 7am and closes at 1:30pm, and the queue builds quickly after 8am, so come early if you want to skip the wait.
- Address: 137 Tampines Street 11, Tampines Round Market & Food Centre, #01-33, Singapore 521137
- Hours: 7am to 1:30pm (Thu to Tue, closed Wed)
- Nearest MRT: Tampines West MRT (Downtown Line), exit B, 13-minute walk
- Price range: SGD 2 to SGD 10 per person
How to Plan a Michelin Hawker Crawl in the East
The two markets sit about 15 minutes apart by MRT. Start at Tampines Round Market in the morning for Rajarani Thosai and Yi Pin Wei Braised Duck Kway Chap, both of which close by early afternoon. Then take the Downtown Line from Tampines West to Bedok North (one transfer at Tampines), and end the day at Seng Kee Black Chicken Herbal Soup in Kaki Bukit for a late-night herbal soup supper. The Tian Nan Xing stall at 511 Market only opens from 5pm, so it slots in perfectly as a dinner stop on the way back from Seng Kee.
Why the 2026 Michelin Update Matters for the East
East Singapore has historically been under-represented in the MICHELIN Guide compared to the central belt, with most listings clustered around Chinatown, Tekka Centre and Old Airport Road. The 2026 update shifts that balance, with five new listings landing at two east-side markets in a single year. For residents of Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris and Changi, that means a Michelin-recognised hawker meal is now within a 15-minute MRT ride rather than a 45-minute haul into the city.
If you are planning a visit in the first few weeks after the listings are announced, expect queues at all five stalls, especially on weekends. The most efficient slot is a weekday morning at Tampines Round Market, hitting Rajarani Thosai first (before 8am) and Yi Pin Wei Braised Duck Kway Chap right after. Bring cash, as most of these stalls still run cash-only lines, and arrive by MRT if you can, the parking at both markets is notoriously tight during peak hours.
