Tampines MRT food bazaar runs 71 stalls until 28 September

The Tampines MRT food bazaar is back on the open field next to Exit C, 20 Tampines Central 1, and Eatbook dated the current run through 28 September 2026. Seventy-one stalls. Daily noon to 10pm. It is not a halal-certified fair even though several stalls, including Ameen Roti and Sugar Mama Lah, are. If you live east of the Kallang basin, this is the easiest pasar malam you will walk to after work this month.

Arrive from the East-West Line or Downtown Line, come up at Exit C, and you are on the grass. Indoor seats exist, which matters when the 4pm thunderstorm hits Tampines like clockwork. Ahboy lists this as a mega pasar malam with over 70 stalls and notes that squishies, the fidget toys, are on sale too. This is not only food. Kids will drag you to the toy rows.

Roti, mochi, and $3.50 malt candy

Ameen Roti is the stall I would queue for first. The same brand draws lines at Century Square and North Bridge Road. At Tampines the halal stall sells Crispy Chicken Roti at $5.50 and Crispy Beef Roti at $6. That is a proper dinner if you add a drink, not a snack you forget.

Moochi is doing handmade mochi, including a Dubai Chewy Mochi and a Taro Purple Rice Seaweed Chicken Floss Salted Egg Mochi. Eatbook marked both prices TBD, so ask at the stall. Sugar Mama Lah, the halal dessert stall, brought 12 tiramisu flavours. The one Eatbook flagged is Pistachio Kunafa at $13.90: tiramisu cake, pistachio cream, chocolate, and crispy kunafa pastry. That is mall-cafe money on a field. I would still order it once.

Thai Dessert House is doing Sweet Potato Balls, $6 for seven, and Thai Fried Banana, $6 for seven. A cash-only stall sells malt candy and Ting Ting candy at $3.50 a portion. Bring notes. Not every booth takes PayNow. Takoyaki and Ramly burgers fill the usual pasar malam slots. None of this is fine dining. It is the east's version of a night market, two minutes from the train.

What else is shutting around Tampines that week

Tampines Round Market & Food Centre at 137 Tampines Street 11 closes for washing from 28 September to 2 October 2026, per the September NEA list that Yahoo republished. If your usual char kway teow uncle is dark that weekend, the bazaar is the backup until 10pm on the 28th, then you are on mall food. Tampines 1, Tampines Mall, and Our Tampines Hub stay open.

Keming Bing Sat at Tampines 1 Level 2 is already on this site from an earlier piece, char siew rice at $10.90++. Im Qalb by Pun Im is at Tampines Mall. Use those if you want air-con after the field. The bazaar is the time-limited one. After 28 September the grass goes back to being grass.

Go on a weekday if you hate crowds. Weekend 7pm is a shuffle. Last orders in my head are 9.30pm even if the listed close is 10pm, because stalls pack down early when stock runs out. I would start at Ameen, walk Moochi, then decide whether $13.90 tiramisu is a joke or a treat. On a humid Tampines night, it is usually a treat.
