Sarawak Laksa Kolo Mee draws long queues at Haig Road for authentic East Malaysian hawker fare.
Sarawak Laksa Kolo Mee is a hawker stall at Haig Road that has become a destination for lovers of authentic Sarawak cuisine in Singapore. Run by Lin Yu Mei, the stall is known for two signature dishes: Sarawak laksa, a fragrant, spice-laden noodle soup with a distinctive orange-tinted broth built from a complex rempah of herbs and spices, and kolo mee, springy egg noodles tossed in savoury sauce and topped with minced pork and char siew. Both dishes capture the unique flavours of East Malaysia that are rarely found elsewhere on the island. Beyond the two signatures, the stall also offers other Sarawak specialities that rotate based on availability, giving regulars something new to look forward to. The long queues that form during peak hours are a testament to the stall''s reputation among those who know their Sarawak food, and the wait is considered a small price for a taste of home. The no-frills hawker setting keeps the focus on the food, where bold, authentic flavours speak for themselves. Queue up at Sarawak Laksa Kolo Mee at Haig Road for a bowl that transports you straight to the streets of Kuching. It is East Malaysian hawker heritage, served one bowl at a time.Operating Hours

I don't normally leave a review but felt that the below would benefit others and encourage others who felt the same to come forward. Been a regular customer here for a few years now and the level of service provided by one of the new staff (see picture) is keeping me away. On multiple instances, he was just simply rude, not to mention his heck care attitude. In addition, his uniform seems to be unwashed and am unsure why he's the only one without a name tag in the entire store. This is just bad for the image and reputation of yakun, not to mention how he potentially affects the morale of the other staff in the same outlet. There was one specific instance I give him "kudos" for. Having ordered eggs, he cracked opened the eggs and broke the egg yolk, which I mentioned that this was not the first time but was met with a take-it-or-leave-it look from him. Upon further inspection, one egg was on the raw side and I asked for them to be changed. He simply gave me 2 eggs and told me to crack them myself. Totally no respect for the customer and his job. Is the the level of service that Yakun seeks to provide? He really managed to make me feel like I owed him money. I implore the management of this outlet to look into this appalling level of service by this specific staff.
