A handmade dumpling stall at Old Airport Road, prized for its thin-skinned xiao long bao with burst-in-your-mouth soup filling.
Wang Ji Shang Hai Xiao Long Bao is a hawker stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre that specialises in freshly handmade Shanghainese dumplings. The stall's xiao long bao are the star, featuring thin and chewy skins that encase a savoury, juicy pork filling and a spoonful of soup that bursts in the mouth with every bite. The guo tie are equally impressive, with a pan-fried crisp bottom giving way to soft, chewy tops and a tasty meat interior, while the boiled dumplings offer a lighter but no less satisfying option. The stall was founded by a former Crystal Jade kitchen hand who ventured out on his own, bringing restaurant-level dumpling-making skills to the hawker setting. Each piece of xiao long bao is priced affordably, making it an accessible quick fix for dumpling cravings without the restaurant price tag. For diners who appreciate the craft of a well-made xiao long bao, Wang Ji delivers handmade quality at Old Airport Road that punches well above its hawker price point.
Even 1star is not worth to give. The lady at this stall is SO UNKIND. When you choose menu, you need to deal with yelling lady and picking your money from your hand without permission. WORST service and person. Don’t come here if you dont want to ruin your mood

Expect the aunty to give you a number tag, and inform you to return 5-10min later for your dumplings. Fried dumplings (8/10) Well executed, no complains. I loved the combination of lightly charred, crispy skin wrapping, the generously-filled minced pork. The meat filling is moist, soupy and juicy. Another round of inflation brought the prices of their pan-fried dumplings from $4 to $4.50 for 5pcs. Perhaps they should have stuck with their styrofoam plates instead of getting plates with their label printed on them to save on costs! :P

Absolutely the best dumplings I have had anywhere in the world. I’ve sent all my friends here and we all agree. This place is a must if you’re visiting Singapore.

Ordered guo3 tie3. Average. Crispy outside, but I would prefer inside to be more moist. Reasonable pricing.
