Michelin Bib Gourmand satay bee hoon at Bedok 85, with rich peanut gravy.
Mei Wei is a satay bee hoon stall at Bedok 85 Fengshan Market that has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for its outstanding rendition of this Singapore classic. The dish features a plate of rice vermicelli and ingredients — pork, cuttlefish, kangkung, and tau pok — drenched in a thick, fragrant satay peanut gravy that is sweet, nutty, and deeply moreish. Each spoonful is a luxurious coating of spice and peanut richness. The stall takes care with its ingredients, ensuring the pork is tender, the cuttlefish is springy, and the gravy is ladled on generously. The balance of sweet and savoury in the sauce keeps diners coming back, and the Bib Gourmand recognition has only increased the queue. It is one of the best examples of satay bee hoon you will find in the East. For Michelin-recognised satay bee hoon that lives up to the hype, Mei Wei at Bedok 85 delivers. Drench, mix, and savour every bite.Operating Hours

Changed from porridge to noodles.

This is value for money satay bee hoon. It does not come with cuttlefish and cockle and therefore lack that depth which comes with a premium plate of satay beehoon. To me, it is something to fill the stomach and not to savour.
