So my usual place was closed and i decided to take a risk and try this japanese stall with the tagline "Restaurant Standard Hawker Prices". It did not disappoint. I ordered the unagi, teriyaki don and ikura chawanmushi 3 things immediately stood out. 1. Their standard is better than some Japanese restaurant standard. Don was plated beautifully with a touch of gold glazing. Portions were generous and each bite was delicious. Both the unagi and chicken was grilled to perfection with a savoury teriyaki sauce paring perfectly. 2. Usually in restaurants, the picture in the menu looks better than the food you get. Here is the opposite. The don you get is layered with meat so much so that it is spilling out of the bowl. It looks much better than the picture in their signboard. Pleasant surprise. 3. Chef is passionate about his food and making customers happy. You can see it in the way he cooks and the thoughtfulness in the dish. Long story short, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Well-cooked quality fish used in the rice bowl and finished off with golden powder like those in Japanese high-class restaurants or fine dining. The Ikura melts in your mouth for sure. For this kind of standard, you won’t believe it’s in a hawker centre. Try it and you won’t regret!
